This was painted in late Fall in Calistoga. It's funny how vineyards take on the different colors in Fall, The. vineyard was mostly all gold in color at this point in time. The sun was going down and the shadows were long. Being back lit the vines look like stain glass with the sun shinning thru the leaves. Painted on location.
